Kate Middleton ‘holy grail’ of pregnancy publicity’: report

It’s only been a handful of days since news broke of Kate Middleton’s crumpet in the oven, but she’s reportedly already being showered with free swag from baby product companies all over the world.

As TMZ calls it, the Duchess of Cambridge is the “holy grail of preggo publicity.”

Simply by walking around and being photographed with mommy-goods, companies are sure to rake in a fortune from worldwide exposure. (Just think about Kate’s engagement dress – the royal blue Issa wrap dress she wore to announce her wedding to Prince William was said to sell out internationally only 24 hours after the announcement.)

Companies have confessed to TMZ that they’re hoping the royal mom-to-be will use their products, and according to the gossip site, Kate’s allegedly received gifts from at least four U.S.-based baby product companies, if not hundreds more around the world.

A rep for Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills has told TMZ that they sent the Duchess a $2,300 gift basket which included a new Bugaboo Cameleon 3 stroller (worth $978), a Fendi layette set ($265), Dior Booties ($275) and more. The Duchess also got more than $1,000 in gifts from high-end baby story Flicka that’s owned by “General Hospital” star John Reilly.
