Jennifer Lopez and Al Roker are being sued by a Louisiana man featured on their reality show “Big Easy Justice.”
The singer and “Today” weatherman are not featured in the series but the show is co-produced by Lopez’s Nuyorican Productions and Al Roker Entertainment.
The Spike TV show is about a bounty hunter named Tat-2 who tracks down criminals in New Orleans, and according to TMZ, 19-year-old Everette Draughn says he was falsely accused of being a criminal on an episode that aired in April.
Draughn filed suit in Louisiana against JLo and Roker, claiming that his “nationally-televised manhunt” has falsely branded him as a grand theft auto suspect and a fugitive, the gossip site reports.
He claims the show ruined his reputation and he also sustained injuries in the hunt. The suit claims he was bullied into signing a release.
Draughn’s lawsuit claims the producers are responsible for the mix-up and is seeking unspecified damages in the case.
A spokesman for the producers and Spike TV have not replied to the report.
