Beyonce invited some of the brave survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings backstage at her concert in Boston last night.
Mery Daniel, 31, Adrianne Haslet, 32, and Heather Abbott, 38 got to meet and take photos with the superstar singer before her gig at the TD Garden. They each gave off warm smiles as they posed for photos.
The three women each lost a leg in the April 15 attack and have learned to walk again with prosthetics. They were profiled in a People cover story in June.
“I started crying,” Haslet, a professional ballroom dancer, said about standing for the first time on her new leg. “I hadn’t even taken a step yet. Just to stand tall was extremely emotional.”
