“Olympus Has Fallen” star Gerard Butler says he hopes to film a sequel — where they could be fictionally blowing up landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, No. 10 Downing Street or the London Eye. “Olympus,” which depicts a guerrilla assault on the White House and stars Butler as a Secret Service agent, earned more than $160 million against a relatively small production budget. Speaking at a Miami dinner for watchmaker Roger Dubuis and Dom Perignon, Butler said, “There may be [a sequel]; we’ll see. It’s just in the works right now.” When asked which London landmarks would be targeted, he said, “Hopefully, we’ll get to blow up everything, and everyone, that’s sacred.” The film is said to revolve around a plot to strike London during the funeral of the British prime minister. Butler said he recently moved to Malibu after falling in love with surfing, which he learned for “Chasing Mavericks.” But while filming the surf movie, the actor was nearly killed by a huge wave, so he stayed on dry land during his time in Miami and was spotted checking out some of the art — and the attractive women on the beach — before heading to West Africa on a charity mission.
