Mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner gave guests a proposition they couldn’t refuse at his inaugural “Women for Weiner” event, inviting all to march with him at tomorrow’s Gay Pride parade, by saying, “You have not lived until you have walked through a Gay Pride parade with someone named Weiner.” His wife, Huma Abedin, chaired the $175-a-head Upper East Side soiree at socialite Jill Iscol’s Fifth Avenue apartment Thursday night. More than 100 guests there included Central Park Conservancy’s Gillian Miniter and Annette de la Renta, designer Reem Acra, Rory Tahari, and Cheryl Saban, wife of Hillary Clinton backer Haim Saban. We’re told Weiner made a speech praising his wife and saying what a wonderful first lady she would make for the city. But some were left snickering when they were greeted outside by a protester, Caitlin Reilly, a volunteer with the National Organization for Women, who waved a sign reading, “Women need leaders, not porn tweeters.”
