Ben Affleck paid a visit to troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan while in rehab — apparently to talk movies and sobriety.
The “Argo” star made a surprise appearance at the Malibu treatment center, Cliffside, just a few days before the 27-year-old actress’s July 2 birthday to discuss a possible role in his new film “Live by Night,” according to RadarOnline.
“Lindsay was excited about the opportunity, telling me that she was going to have dark hair in the movie and would have an Irish accent,” a former patient told the gossip site.
According to the source, Affleck showed up with an assistant at the center late at night and stayed for about an hour.
“A former substance abuser himself, Lindsay said he was there to check on her and see how she was doing,” the insider said.
The starlet entered rehab for a 90-day stay as part of a plea deal with prosecutors over charges following her car crash last June.
