Advertising guru Charles Saatchi is said to be begging his ex-wife Nigella Lawson to take him back after their recent divorce, with a British newspaper even reporting that he has come close to harming himself.
Friends of Lawson’s have told the newspaper that Saatchi appears to have become unhinged since their split, bombarding his now former wife with texts and phone calls, and making threats to harm himself if she doesn’t call him.
“Charles has been texting and phoning Nigella endlessly,” one source said. “One minute he’s pleading, the next bullying. Her silence has been driving him crazy.”
Lawson, 53, and Saatchi, 70, who are said to be worth nearly $250 million, divorced last month. Their split was set in motion in early June when a photographer caught Saatchi grabblng Lawson by the throat during an argument outside a London restaurant.
