No love is lost between incumbent State Assembly member Linda Rosenthal and newly elected City Council member Helen Rosenthal. The similarly named Democrats both represent the left-leaning Upper West Side of Manhattan.
Linda supported Dem party veteran Marc Landis against the victorious Helen and even did an ad making clear that it was not she who was running for City Council.
Linda bristled on primary day when confused voters stopped her on the street to tell her they voted for her, thinking she was the candidate instead of Helen.
Now Helen is said is said to be looking for a candidate to run against the Assemblywoman.
