Newly single Orlando Bloom arrived solo at the New York premiere of his latest film, “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” — but was then seen high-tailing it to a birthday bash for his “Romeo and Juliet” co-star Condola Rashad.

Bloom was at the Cinema Society and Moncler-sponsored screening with co-star Evangeline Lilly and guests Sean Parker, Eric Schmidt, Brooke Shields, Jeremy Piven and a gaggle of “Downton Abbey” stars. But spies said that after Bloom shared a table at a Lambs Club after-party with British actor Stephen Fry, he seemed “twitchy” to head into the night. Bloom, who recently split with Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr, was then seen at the James Hotel’s club Jimmy, celebrating Rashad’s 27th birthday with guests including the actress’ parents, Ahmad and Phylicia Rashad.

Our spy said, “There’s been a lot of speculation about them dating, but they made sure to keep a friendly distance.”

Their time as star-crossed lovers has been cut short, onstage at least, since “Romeo” will close a month earlier than planned.
