Stars flock to see Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart on Broadway

The audiences have been starry at Broadway’s “No Man’s Land” and “Waiting for Godot.”

The Harold Pinter and Samuel Beckett plays are being performed in repertory starring Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Patrick Stewart — two of Britain’s finest actors — as well as Billy Crudup and Shuler Hensley.

On Friday night, Bette Midler, Sting and Trudie Styler were in the house, and last week Whoopi Goldberg, Debra Winger, “Seinfeld’s” Michael Richards and “House of Cards” star Cory Stoll were all spotted.

The plays are now in previews at the Cort Theatre, where they will open on Sunday.
