Miley Cyrus calls Matt Lauer ‘definitely not sexual’

According to Miley Cyrus, 55-year-old “Today” co-host Matt Lauer is “definitely not sexual.”

Cyrus stormed the “Today” show Monday morning to perform in the Plaza at Rockefeller Center, and traded zingers with Lauer during a live interview.

During their on stage chat, Lauer asked Cyrus about her sexually overt image as of late, including her twerk-filled VMA performance and her video for “Wrecking Ball,” in which the 20-year old singer swings naked on an oversized wrecking ball.

“This is just who I am,” Cyrus explained to Lauer when asked about her transition from child star to adult entertainer. “It’s only hard if you’re trying to be something you’re not. Being who you are is really easy, if you’re true to that.”

When Lauer asked her if her sexually charged image was just a phase, Cyrus responded flippedly: “I heard when you turn 40 things start to go a little less sexual…I heard that’s when people don’t have sex anymore.”

Lauer then asked, “do you know how old I am?” and then revealed his age–55. “Oh, then you’re really, definitely not sexual,” Cyrus responded.

Of her controversial performances, song lyrics and behavior, Cyrus said she has no regrets. “I can’t change anything, I can’t go back,” she told Lauer. “ Anything I can’t control, I don’t think about. I just live my life the way it is and I don’t regret anything.”
