Jodie Foster steps out with new girlfriend

Jodie Foster and her new girlfriend Alexandra Hedison stepped out in public at an LA gala on Saturday night – then were spotted the next morning sharing an intimate breakfast.

The 50-year-old Oscar-winning actress and 44-year-old photographer Hedison – who previously dated Ellen DeGeneres – are said to have been dating for several months.

A source told E! News of the relationship, “It’s pretty serious. They’re totally in love.”

Reports of a romance first emerged when they were seen together at a technology seminar in Los Angeles, this summer. The duo then fueled the claims when they went to dinner with friends several days later.

Jodie and Alexandra attended the Hammer Museum 11th Annual Gala In The Garden, hosted by Bottega Veneta, in Westwood, CA on Saturday night.

Then on Sunday they were seen casually dressed over breakfast at Hollywood eaterie Charlie’s Pantry.

In 2008 Jodie came out of a 20-year relationship with Cydney Bernard, with whom she has two sons. Hedison – who appeared on Showtime’s “The L Word” and previously on “Melrose Place – and DeGeneres split in 2004 after four years together.

The actress, whose romantic life hasn’t been a secret, first talked openly about it at the Golden Globe Awards in January.

She said at the time: “This is not going to be a big coming out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age – in those very quaint days when a fragile girl would open up to trusted friends and family and coworkers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her.

“But now apparently I’m told that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a primetime reality show.”

A rep for Foster didn’t immediately get back to us.
