Kanye West’s teenage paintings bought by art collector

An art collector has scooped up Kanye West’s teenage artwork, Page Six has learned.

We’re told entrepreneur Vinoda Basnayake tracked down West’s paintings and drawings after seeing the pieces on an episode of PBS’s “Antiques Roadshow.”

“Kanye’s cousin owned the trove, which was created by Kanye during his days as a student at Polaris School [in Chicago],” said a source, who said that Basnayake finally got his hands on the portfolio two weeks ago.

Basnayake hasn’t said how much he paid for the pieces due to an NDA, but 43-year-old West’s teenage pieces were appraised for around $16,000 to $23,000 on the PBS show.

Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian recently used some of the works to shut down haters doubting that daughter North painted an impressive piece of artwork that the proud mom had boasted about online.

“Throwback to some of her dad’s artwork that he did when he was a kid,” the 40-year-old wrote.
