Katie Couric turned down multimillion-dollar offer from Yahoo

Katie Couric turned down a multimillion-dollar offer to stay at Yahoo, we’re told.

Sources say that — in spite of mixed results during Couric’s five-year stint as the site’s “Global News Anchor” — Yahoo’s new owners offered what sources consider to be a generous contract to the news personality, although the exact figure was not available.

But we’re told that Couric decided it was time to move on.

She was hired in 2013 by then-CEO Marissa Mayer, and stayed on with the company while it was sold to Verizon.

She resigned on Friday.
