Russell Crowe was spotted enjoying the warm weather in Australia over the weekend, sporting a newly shaved head and unabashed big belly.
The 52-year-old Oscar winner, who was buff as they come in “Gladiator”, displayed his new wide body while showing off his athletic chops Saturday in the Woolloomooloo section of Sydney, kicking around a rugby ball while wearing a tank top and shorts.
It’s unclear if his portly figure is because of a film role or simply from enjoying middle age, but his IMDB page does not list any new movies in the works.
It’s unclear when Crowe got the buzz cut, but he had a full head of hair in “The Nice Guys” and the upcoming, already-filmed remake of “The Mummy.”
Earlier in the day, he and son Tennyson, 10, went on a stroll with professional rugby player Sam Burgess, Burgess’ wife, Phoebe, and their newborn daughter, Poppy, according to People magazine.
Crowe, who has a $25 million apartment in the area, has been close friends with Burgess for years and attended his wedding in December 2015.
