Adult film star Stormy Daniels, Donald Trump’s reported paramour, appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Tuesday night just hours after President Trump finished his first State of the Union address.
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, kicked off the segment by watching the State of the Union with Kimmel.
“Okay, enough of this,” Kimmel said, pulling out a puppet version of Trump. “Stormy, show me on the puppet what he did to you.” To which Clifford pulled out a puppet in her shape with tape over its eyes and looked knowingly at the camera.
“Hmm, kinky,” Kimmel said.
In his opening monologue, Kimmel referred to a 2011 In Touch interview in which Clifford had stated “that she could definitely describe Donald Trump’s junk perfectly — if she ever had to. And at long last, that moment has arrived. She has to.”
Clifford was first reported as having had an affair with the real estate mogul in a Wall Street Journal article earlier this month, which stated that Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen had paid Clifford $130,000 to keep quiet about an alleged 2006 affair. Cohen denied the report and provided the WSJ with an email that denied having received a settlement from Trump, signed “Stormy Daniels.” Clifford also released a statement hours before her Kimmel appearance Tuesday dismissing the report.
On the show, Kimmel pressed Clifford about whether she had signed an NDA regarding her alleged affair. She wouldn’t give a straight response, however.
He compared the signature on the original statement Cohen had sent with signatures from her head shots and the signature on her Tuesday statement, and asked whether she had signed the Tuesday statement.
“I don’t know, did I?” she responded.
“Wait, that you can say,” Kimmel said.
“That doesn’t look like my signature, does it?” she replied. Clifford didn’t answer when Kimmel continued to ask whether she had signed the document, but hinted that it had come from the internet, according to which she is also a man and part of the FBI.
He also asked whether she had a nondisclosure agreement, to which she responded, “Do I?”
“If you didn’t have a non-disclosure agreement, you most certainly could say you don’t have an non-disclosure agreement, yes?” he asked.
“You’re so smart, Jimmy,” she said. She continued to take a coy stance throughout the interview, hedging on Kimmel’s questions, including a few regarding the 2011 In Touch interview in which Clifford had said she had an affair with Trump.
Kimmel homed in on a detail of the In Touch interview, which said Trump had continued to contact Clifford after their alleged initial meeting in Lake Tahoe, and that he had been watching Shark Week at the time.
“You said he is obsessed with and terrified of sharks, which is—” Kimmel began.
“Aren’t we all?” she replied.
“That night he told you he couldn’t get you on ‘Celebrity Apprentice,’ is any of that true?” he asked. Clifford asked him to define “true.”
The pair also played a puppet version of Never Have I Ever, in which Kimmel tried to get Clifford to use the puppet to respond to specific questions about Trump, such as “Never have I ever watched Shark Week in a hotel room with the host of a reality show.”
He addressed some Trump supporters’ claims that having Daniels on the show was disrespectful, referring to Trump having three women who accused Bill Clinton of inappropriate sexual behavior in the audience during a campaign debate with Hillary Clinton.
He asked Clifford what she thought of the move.
“Odd? No. Dirty, yes? And I know a lot about dirty and even I wouldn’t do that,” she replied.
