Bushwick has its own play.

After Vogue declared the Brooklyn neighborhood the seventh-coolest in the world on a list between hipster enclaves in Paris and Milan, a new play by Ed Cardona Jr. and Ana Margineanu explores gentrification in the area.

The show, titled “Bamboo in Bushwick,” is set among a “loosely knit circle of friends who gather for a weekly dominoes game” and was inspired by conversations with residents, including members of the Ridgewood Bushwick Senior Citizens Council.

It opens in Bushwick on April 13 before moving to Manhattan’s Urban Stages.

Last year, members of the Tisch family backed Bushwick pizza mecca Roberta’s. Celeb residents reportedly include Penn Badgley and Zosia Mamet.
