David Foster organizing Trump’s inauguration performances

Music industry bigwig — and Christie Brinkley’s newly minted main squeeze, it seems — David Foster is playing a pivotal role in organizing Donald Trump’s inauguration, we’re told.

Insiders say that, even though the super producer supported Hillary Clinton in the election — and was spotted hobnobbing with her at the Polo Bar on Wednesday night during a date with Brinkley — he is a longtime friend of Trump and has been wrangling talent to perform at the January event.

Finding big names willing to take the stage in Washington, DC, before Trump is sworn in as president has been famously challenging. Showbiz blog The Wrap reported that it’s been so difficult to sign up A-listers, organizers were offering bookers cash and even ambassadorships in return for providing big names. But we’re told that Foster has swooped in to save the day — and both the names attached to Inauguration Day have close ties with the producer.

Pop-classical singer Andrea Bocelli — who is being rumored to be in talks to perform — has recorded dozens of times with Foster. The pair even starred in PBS’ “Andrea Bocelli & David Foster: My Christmas.”

“I wouldn’t be surprised at all if David is at the piano when Andrea sings,” said an insider.

And the only confirmed name performing on the National Mall so far is 16-year-old “America’s Got Talent” contestant Jackie Evancho, who was discovered by Foster before she went on the NBC talent contest.

Foster, speaking through a rep, told us, “I was invited to participate and I politely declined. I have no idea where this story came from.”

Meanwhile, Foster — whom we have reported is dating Brinkley — has found plenty of time to romance his new lady. The pair went for dinner at the Polo Bar, took in a jazz show at the Blue Note on Wednesday, and then on Thursday were on the town again, this time at a concert at Madison Square Garden given by none other than Bocelli.

We’re told Brinkley and Foster — who announced a year ago his divorce from Yolanda Hadid — “held hands throughout the show.”

Also there were Alec and Hilaria Baldwin, publicist Ronn Torossian and Katharine McPhee.
