Clinton-friendly p.r. firm Sunshine Sachs, which counts Leo DiCaprio, Jon Bon Jovi and Barbra Streisand among its clients — all of whom threw their celebrity weight behind Hillary Clinton — has joined LaForce and canceled its holiday party because of Donald Trump’s election win.
“Ain’t no party like a Sunshine Sachs party, but this year ain’t no party,” a non-invite said.
Boss Ken Sunshine is a Democratic adviser and a donor to the Clintons. The firm says it plans to instead donate the dough from the bash to charity.
Meanwhile, LaForce sent out an invite bearing a pic of Hillary in a festive elf outfit with the banner “Make America Merry Again,” but bosses James LaForce and husband Stephen Henderson added, “So confident were we of her victory, we designed and printed the invitation before Nov. 8. Election day didn’t go as we’d hoped. So, it’s with deep regret that we are canceling this year’s party,” with the money going to Planned Parenthood and other nonprofits.
But the outcome didn’t keep Island Records from celebrating. The label’s president and CEO David Massey hosted a bash at Avenue with Bishop Briggs, Olivia O’Brien, Shirazee and Republic’s Avery Lipman and Charlie Walk.
