Meghan McCain’s fiancé revealed

The View” co-host Meghan McCain is engaged to Ben Domenech, a conservative writer and publisher of online magazine The Federalist, Page Six can exclusively reveal.

The daughter of Sen. John McCain is expected to announce on the ABC show that she and Domenech, also the writer of political insider newsletter The Transom, plan to tie the knot.

McCain, 33, and 35-year-old Domenech, who is a former speechwriter who also co-founded the RedState conservative blog and regularly appears on Fox News and CBS, are believed to have been dating for a while, but have kept their romance seriously under wraps, according to friends.

Us Weekly first reported the news of their engagement Wednesday, but did not reveal the name of McCain’s groom-to-be. The mag reported, “Meghan and her fiancé are well into wedding planning.”

Domenech, who has only been referred to as McCain’s boyfriend on her Instagram account, is quite the cook, according to the photos McCain has posted. The two were also in Bora Bora together to ring in 2017.

He has even won the approval of her dad. “He’s a jerk,” he joked on “The View” recently. “Actually, he’s a very fine man. I’m very proud and very happy that they’re so happy together.”

Celebrating her 33rd birthday earlier this month on “The View,” Meghan added of Ben, “This one works in politics and has for a long time so he wasn’t as intimidated and he actually met my dad at my brother’s wedding for the first time and ended up talking about health care or something very wonky. He’s so conservative. He’s funny in his own way.”

Meghan — an outspoken conservative who nonetheless disagrees with President Donald Trump — agreed that she’s found her ultimate match when it comes to political views.

“He’s so conservative … I ultimately seem to have landed with the most conservative guy in the history of the world.”

Reps for McCain did not return our requests for comment.
