Music producer Marion “Suge” Knight was shot six times early Sunday in West Hollywood at a pre-MTV Video Music Awards party thrown by Chris Brown and singer Pia Mia.

Former Death Row Records CEO underwent surgery for his injuries and is in intensive care at a local hospital, where he is expected to make a full recovery, TMZ reports.

Three people were shot shortly after 1:30 a.m. when bullets started flying at the 1OAK nightclub on Sunset Boulevard, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.

The victims included Knight, 49, as well as a 32-year-old man and 19-year-old woman — all are expected to survive.

The suspect has not yet been identified, police said.

Knight was partying at the nightclub Saturday night into Sunday, when an eyewitness said the music producer was caught in the crossfire as gunshots rang out.

“Literally can’t believe what I just witnessed. Someone tried to fire shots at Chris Brown at 1oak. Speechless.” partygoer Katie Clendon tweeted shortly after 4 a.m.

Despite this claim, another attendee told Entertainment Tonight that it appeared Knight was the intended target of the gunfire.

The witness said that once Knight made his way outside the club, he begged police to protect him, telling them, “Put your guns up. Hide me. They are shooting at me,” according to ETonline.

Knight reportedly hid inside the squad car for 20 minutes as police secured the area.

Partygoers poured out of the popular nightclub with their hands raised in the air while cops aimed their guns towards the fleeing guests, according to a video posted by TMZ.

“It’s disappointing that we as a society can’t have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bulls***!!!” Brown tweeted hours after the shooting.

This isn’t Knight’s first run-in with bullets at a pre-VMA party.

He was shot in the leg at a 2005 event hosted by Kanye West in Miami.

Knight has done several stints in jail due to parole violations and assaults related to a longstanding feud with East Coast rappers.
