Former Fugees star Pras Michel makes $1.7 million a year, but he won’t pay additional child support to cover his 4-year-old son’s increased day care costs, birthday parties and vacations, according to testimony by his ex-girlfriend.
“I’m angry at Mr. Michel for not providing for his son,” Angela Severiano, 38, told a Manhattan Family Court judge Thursday in asking for a raise in child support from $3,000 to $7,000 a month.
Michel, a court no-show for the second time in six months, claimed he earns $300,000 a year but didn’t provide documentation.
So Severiano testified that her ex listed his income as $1.7 million on documents for a sublet at 60 Greene St.
Her lawyer, Kenneth Sternberg, said the rental documents were from 2012, when Michel, 41, said his income was in the low six figures.
Michel’s lawyer, Jaclyn Soroka, disputed the testimony and told the judge her client was too sick to come to court.
