“Raging Bull” inspiration Jake LaMotta celebrated his 92nd birthday at the Copper Queen Hotel in Bisbee, Ariz. — a favorite haunt of Ronald Reagan, John Wayne and Lee Marvin.
The former boxing champ was seen in good spirits eating a cheeseburger with his wife, Denise Baker, with a view of Tombstone Canyon in the background.
Afterward, a waiter brought over a cake with a candle and sang “Happy Birthday” to LaMotta, spies said, and “everybody joined in.”
Baker told us: “I asked Jake how he felt to be 92, and he said he ‘felt with his fingers.’ Still the comedian!”
Boxing News said of LaMotta’s birthday, “Rarely has a stronger man — mentally or physically — stepped into the ring.”
