Transgender actress Laverne Cox, who plays prison hairdresser Sophia Burset in Netflix’s hit series “Orange is the New Black,” is a glamorous grand marshal at the LGBT Pride Parade Sunday in a fitted salmon dress and carrying a white parasol along Fifth Avenue.
Thousands turned out in their brightest rainbow-themed colors for the two-mile celebration, from Midtown to Greenwich Village, marking the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, which spurred the gay-rights movement in 1969.
