Jaws dropped as Walter Mosley read from his novel “Debbie Doesn’t Do It Anymore” the other night at Edward Tyler Nahem gallery.
Mosley’s selected passage from the book, about a famous porn star who wants to leave the business, revealed he had done his research about the, ahem, ins and outs of the so- called “money shot.”
Among those gasping at the climactic scene were jazz great Ron Carter, the Nation’s Katrina vanden Heuvel and artist Iona Rozeal Brown.
Mosley also revealed during the evening that he is adapting his novel “Devil in a Blue Dress” for Broadway with a score by jazz master and composer Branford Marsalis.
