One person who can be removed from consideration for one of the vacant co-host seats on “The View” next season: Meghan McCain.

“I am not joining,” the 29-year-old told Refinery 29 earlier this week. “I have the most utmost respect for everyone at ‘The View.’ The show was amazing for my career for a long time. But, right now, I really love my job at ‘TakePart Live.’ I genuinely mean this: I really love coming to work every day and working with people in their 20s to make a really rowdy news show.”

Earlier this month, the website reported that Senator John McCain‘s daughter, a liberal Republican, was being considered for one of the currently newly vacant slots on the talk show.

“Any specific names at this point are rumor and speculation. There are no decisions and we are not ready to make any announcements,” a representative for the network said at the time.

McCain, who currently is the host of Pivot’s “TakePart Live,” previously appeared on the ABC series as a guest host in 2009 and 2010.

It was announced earlier this month that Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy wouldn’t be returning to “The View” this falll.

This news was followed shortly by confirmation that Rosie O’Donnell would be returning to serve as co-host for the show’s 18th season.
