The Kardashians start filming in the Hamptons in the next few days, and already they are annoying residents — with the local mayor warning: “They’ve got off on the wrong foot.”
Kourtney and Khloe will be shooting in Southampton this week after securing a location on Jobs Lane for a summer pop-up of their clothing store Dash.
But Southampton Village Mayor Mark Epley has been complaining that producers of their reality show lied to him. He told guests at a party Saturday, “The Kardashian producers told me they weren’t opening a store in Southampton, then 12 hours later they announced the store’s location. I called them and said, ‘You lied to me.’ They have got off on the wrong foot.”
Epley spoke at the Southampton Animal Shelter gala kickoff party, hosted by Jean Shafiroff.
The party was held at the Southampton Center on Jobs Lane, across the street from the Hamptons Dash site.
Epley was also heard saying he was concerned about traffic problems and public safety on the sidewalks and streets if the family creates a scene.
