“Evelyn Lauder is watching over us right now, look at the sunset,” Larry Baum told an elegant Hamptons crowd gathered to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation under a beautiful sky at the waterfront North Haven home of Lisa and Richard Perry.
The Barneys owner and his designer wife hosted a party on the lawn of their palatial estate for the Hamptons Paddle & Party for Pink, an annual event to help breast cancer research that starts with a paddle-board race at Havens Beach in Sag Harbor.
Leonard Lauder, the husband of the late cosmetics icon who was a champion for breast cancer research, told the group, “Are we going to put breast cancer out of business? Yes, because of all of you.”
Guests at the event, which raised $1.5 million for the BCRF and was also chaired by Maria Baum and fitness trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson, included Molly Sims, Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen, with Olivier Sarkozy, William Lauder, designer Nicole Miller, Bethenny Frankel, hedge fund mogul David Tepper and Martha Stewart.
