Robin Williams’ suicide was spontaneous act, says friend

Robin Williams was “completely engaged” in a chat about upcoming projects, one day before taking his life, according to a confidante, speculating that the actor’s suicide was a spontaneous act.

Williams, 63, was found dead with a belt tied around his neck seven days ago, inside his Northern California home.

Hours earlier, he had chatted with a pal about deals the actor had in the works, TMZ reported.

Williams asked questions about these projects and seemed “completely engaged in the conversation” — and didn’t give any hint he was considering suicide, the confidante said.

While the “Good Will Hunting” actor seemed down during this talk, it was not out of the ordinary for the actor who “lived in a dark [emotional] place.”

“[Williams] was unhappy which he often was, but it was nothing unusual,” the source said.
