Angelina Jolie’s ex-lover to marry her girlfriend

Angelina Jolie may have just married long-term partner Brad Pitt, but there was a time when the Hollywood star was ready to wed ex-lover Jenny Shimizu.

The pair were lesbian lovers after meeting on a film shoot in the 1990s and Jolie was so besotted with Shimizu she told an interviewer in 1997 she fell in love “the first second I saw her,” admitting “I would probably have married Jenny if I hadn’t married my [first] husband.”

Instead she married British actor Jonny Lee Miller in a short-lived union.

Now Shimizu is set to wed as well, having become engaged to partner Michelle Harper.

The 47-year-old actor and model, who has claimed Madonna as one of her ex-lovers, posed with her girlfriend for a bridal photo shoot in June which appeared in Vogue.

While Shimizu has posted several Instagram pics of her and her new love looking very much in love, not all Jolie exes have found it so easy to move on.

Billy Bob Thornton, who had a short-lived marriage to the star, admitted in an interview in 2012 that he “blew it” with her because he says he didn’t think he deserved to be with her.

The actor, who was so obsessed with her even recorded a cringe-worthy love song titled “Angelina,” he told ABC’s Nightline: “We had a great marriage and I chickened out because I didn’t feel good enough. That’s all that happened. It was no big deal, we never hated each other.”
