Weinstein skips Obama-Clinton ‘hug’ for ‘Finding Neverland’

Harvey Weinstein was invited to be at Vernon Jordan’s Obama-Clinton rendezvous in Martha’s Vineyard, but skipped the spectacle of watching the two Democrats “hug it out” to be at the opening of his musical “Finding Neverland” in Boston.

Also spotted at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Mass., were billionaires Jim Dolan, Ron Burkle and Len Blavatnik, who are investors in the show.

Weinstein described director Diane Paulus as “a better version of Quentin Tarantino and Marty Scorsese, and a lot more gorgeous.”

“Finding Neverland,” which was met with warm reviews in Boston, will hit Broadway in March 2015 at a theater to be announced.
