It seems like a day can’t pass without a celebrity couple giving their newborn a weird name. The latest culprits: Christina Aguilera and fiancé Matthew Rutler.

“The Voice” judge, 33, gave birth to her second child, a daughter, on Saturday night. The baby’s name? Summer Rain Rutler.

Considering that her first child, a boy, has the moniker Max, it’s hard to know just what Aguilera was thinking, but here are six possible inspirations for the unique name:

  1. 1. "Summer Rain"

  2. 2. Royal Reign

Summer Rain isn’t even the most outlandish celebrity baby name of the summer. In June, rapper Lil Kim gave birth to her first child, using the homonym of rain to name her baby girl Royal Reign.

  3. 3. "November Rain"

  4. 4. "Purple Rain"

http://youtu.be/SKVDdm-bpKY The 1984 movie starring Prince has become a cult classic over the last three decades, and features a soundtrack that includes some of the artist’s most fondly remembered songs, including “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry.”

  5. 5. "Singin' in the Rain"

http://youtu.be/36QiuRc_3I8 Starring Gene Kelly, Donald O’Connor and Debbie Reynolds, this 1952 film is one of the most beloved musicals (and movies) of Hollywood’s Golden Age.

  6. 6. Summer and Rain Phoenix

Strange names aren’t anything new. Just look at the names given to the siblings of Joaquin and River Phoenix, including sisters Summer, 35, and Rain, 41.
