Dior designer Raf Simons booked the Brooklyn Navy Yard to show the brand’s pre-spring collection on Wednesday night, but the attending fashionistas were struck by a pungent smell of garbage.
One spy at the show that drew Rihanna, Marion Cotillard, Margot Robbie, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Allison Williams, Olivia Palermo and Christian Louboutin said arriving guests on a ferry from Manhattan were met by “an overpowering stench of sewage or garbage.”
Some VIPs even felt queasy until they made it inside the show and escaped the olfactory onslaught.
But, visually, Simons’ show got high marks. Guests then headed to private dinners followed by a party at The Standard.
