Jackie Chan’s son, Jaycee Chan, was arrested in Beijing, China on Thursday on drug charges.

The People’s Daily (via Variety) reports that the Hong Kong actor was arrested after the cops allegedly found 100 grams (just shy of a quarter of a pound) of marijuana in his house.

Jaycee wasn’t the only actor who has been arrested on drug charges — Jaycee’s friend, Taiwanese actor, Kai Ko, was also recently arrested on drug charges.

According to the South China Morning Post, the Beijing Public Security Bureau made an official statement on Weibo (a popular China social media site comparable to Facebook or Twitter) that a number of suspects have been brought in. The police statement said Jaycee was put under criminal detention for allegedly “providing a shelter for others to abuse drugs.”

The site also says that if found guilty, Jaycee could face up to three years in prison.

The news comes just days after the Beijing Trade Association for Performances put together an agreement to shun all entertainment personalities who use drugs. 42 talent management and agencies in Beijing are participating in the agreement.

A rep for Jackie did not immediately return a request for comment.
