Oliver Platt — the actor brother of New York magazine’s food critic Adam Platt — plays a restaurant critic himself in Jon Favreau’s movie “Chef,” co-starring Robert Downey Jr.

The film’s picked up a legion of chefs and foodie fans who are now noticing what restaurants Oliver’s eating in.

A spy said the former “West Wing” star was spotted with a friend over Memorial Day weekend getting a late-night snack at Virgil’s Real Barbecue in Midtown, ordering, “barbecue chicken wings and root beer floats.”

Oliver recently told The Post he rarely dines with his brother because “he has to order everything on the menu [and] I just don’t have that kind of self-control [not to eat everything].”
