Artist Domingo Zapata will be taking over 20 billboard spaces across the city this summer as giant displays for his work. Zapata plans to use them for a guerrilla project titled #ALittleBirdieToldMe.
The first has already popped up at the corner of Spring and Greenwich streets in Soho, while others are expected to follow in Midtown and at Thompson and Grand next to the old Cafe Noir.
The billboard spaces were donated by Prince Media Co. owner Philip Kafka, who’s said to be a collector of Zapata’s work.
