Lupita Nyong’o cast in new ‘Star Wars’

“Star Wars: Episode VII”  just got a major dose of glamor.

Lupita Nyong’o and “Game of Thrones” actress Gwendoline Christie are the two latest additions to the star-studded cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Other names tied to the film include Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hammil, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac.

Nyong’o took to Instagram to share the news on Monday, writing, “I can finally say it out loud and proud: I’m going to a galaxy far far away!”

The Kenyan actress’ role in the film isn’t yet clear but it’s been reported her part may be substantial.

Nyong’o, 31, took awards season by storm, winning the 2014 Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in “12 Years a Slave.” She also graced the cover of People’s Most Beautiful issue and landed a lucrative spokes model deal with Lancome.

Although “Episode VII” won’t hit the silver screen until December 2015, Nyong’o is also in talks to star in “The Jungle Book.”
