Global Welcome Ambassador for the Big Apple Taylor Swift is putting her money where her mouth is.

“The song ‘Welcome to New York’ actually, I don’t think I’ve told anyone this before, but the fans were wonderful enough to make it number one on iTunes and it’s selling really really well, which is good because I’m donating all of my proceeds to New York City public schools,” the “1989” singer, 24, revealed on “The View” on Wednesday.

Swift’s fifth studio album “1989” was released on Monday and on Tuesday, Billboard reported that the album was quickly heading toward one million sales in its debut week and would become her third album to surpass a million.

“I’m still learning, but I’m so enthusiastic about this city that when I love something, I’m very vocal about it,” Swift said on ABC’s “Good Morning America” Monday morning.
