Celebrities will have a new way of making money with a venture being launched by Michael Lohan Jr.
Lindsay’s younger brother, 26, is raising capital for Vigme, a social shopping community that will allow fans to buy the same products celebrities are buying.
“If Lindsay buys something, it goes into her [virtual] closet. People see what’s in her closet. If someone else buys [the same item], it puts money into Lindsay’s pocket,” Michael told me. “It’s a way for trendsetters to monetize their influence. We game-ify it.”
Celebs who participate on the app and the Web site can also have their earnings go to their favorite charity.
Michael is being advised by Arianna Huffington, Donny Deutsch and Matthew Mellon. And, he told me, “Lindsay is very active with this project.”
