“Glee” star Becca Tobin’s boyfriend has been found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room.
Nightclub owner Matt Bendik, 35, was in Philadelphia on a business trip, with Tobin in tow, when a hotel maid found his body in his room on Thursday afternoon, TMZ reports.
Tobin plays Kitty Wilde on “Glee” and has been a recurring cast member since the start of the fourth season.
In an eerie coincidence, Bendik’s death comes just three days shy of the first anniversary of the death of “Glee” cast member Cory Monteith.
Monteith, boyfriend of fellow “Glee” star Lea Michele, died in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13 last year from a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol.
TMZ reports the Philadelphia medical examiner would only confirm that Bendik’s body was found, and offered no other details on a possible cause of death.
Friends and fans have taken to Twitter to offer words of condolence and support for Tobin.
