Kirstie Alley compares Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s diss to rape

Kirstie Alley is not pleased with Maksim Chmerkovskiy’s recent comments blaming their falling-out on Scientology.

The former Jenny Craig spokeswoman, 63, tweeted her thoughts Friday:

The former “Dancing with the Stars” hunk and Alley became close friends after being partners on the dance competition show in 2011, but Chmerkovskiy, 34,  says things went awry when he began associating with Jennifer Lopez.

Lopez is best friends with Leah Remini, who famously quit Scientology in 2013 and publicly bashed the institution. Alley subsequently called Remini a “bigot” for the stunt, reports People.

The Ukrainian dancer told Andy Cohen on “Watch What Happens Live” that Alley stopped “getting along” with him.

“We had a great relationship … but I got a message now that I am associating with other people that she can’t be associated with, I am no longer to be spoken with, and sorry, but it is what it is,” he explained.

He went on to defend himself, saying he would never judge a person based on their faith.

“I’m Jewish. I don’t really believe in science fiction, but whatever. It’s sad that we’ve gone through so much together, and I feel like I’ve helped her. And this is where we’re at now. But I think the world of her, and I wish her the best,” he said.
