Hollywood may have a new odd couple: Blake Lively and Martha Stewart.

“I’ve only ever found her to be completely generous and kind,” Lively, 26, told the August issue of Vogue about the lifestyle guru. “She’s one of those people who connect people with each other. She’s there for you.”

The former “Gossip Girl” actress revealed that Stewart, 72, played a major part in her 2012 wedding to Ryan Reynolds, too.

“Our wedding was becoming a disaster, and we didn’t know what to do, so we called Martha!” Lively said. “And then she called her friends who have a home in South Carolina and set us up at the most amazing getaway. This is the day of our wedding!”

With Lively’s lifestyle and e-commerce website slated to launch on July 23, their shared interests are obvious. “I think she considers me a kind of mentor. And I think anyone who is as home-oriented as she is, this new venture doesn’t surprise me,” Stewart said.

Stewart isn’t the only older person Lively calls a friend. Jane Fonda is a new acquaintance.

“I said to Ryan, ‘Darling, I made a new friend,'” she recalled. “And he’s like, ‘You only make friends with senior citizens!’”

She continued, “Young people try to heighten their experiences, and I do it, too: This is what makes me interesting. But Jane Fonda is quiet. You know how interesting she is. It’s who she is in every fiber.”
