Rory McIlroy and actress Meghan Markle have raised eyebrows with what seems like a unexpected friendship.
The newly single pro golfer recently took the ice bucket challenge for ALS while making several press stops with Tiger Woods.
McIlroy then challenged George W. Bush, Wayne Rooney and, puzzlingly, Markle, who appears on USA Network show “Suits.”
On Markle’s Twitter feed, she takes the challenge, and has her close pal McIlroy dump the ice bucket over her head in the video.
“#ALSicebucketchallenge accepted!” Markle wrote. “I nominate @serenawilliams (you better do it!) — Special thanks to @McIlroyrory :)” Note the smiley face at the end of the message.
