Bobbi Kristina Brown, the famous daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston, went on an expletive-filled Twitter rant on Saturday because she wasn’t chosen to play her mother in an upcoming Lifetime biopic of the late singer.

Angela Bassett, the film’s director, enlisted Yaya DaCosta of “The Butler” and “TRON: Legacy” for the role. In fact, she’d hardly given Brown any thought, much less consideration.

“I know she’s acted here and there. I know she’s been on her family’s reality show, but she’s not an actress and acting is a craft,” Bassett told Entertainment Weekly. “This is a very fast-paced schedule; we have just 21 days to tell this story. It’s more than just saying lines and turning the lights on. You have to drive the story — there’s a technical aspect.”

After catching wind of Bassett’s cold hard truth, Brown publicly blasted the accomplished actress in a series of angry tweets.

“Ha MsAng “bassketcase” has such a damn nerve my lord, at least the world doesn’t mistake me for the wrong sex…she has some #XtraEquipment,” Brown tweeted.

“When I win my first Grammy or Oscar, *Shrugs* hmm whichever comes 1st, I’ll be sure 2shout URname out b - tch! Hah UrTestResults = Male. Lmao.”

Earth to Bobbi — rejection is the name of the game. Hollywood is a cutthroat town where only the strong survive. Throwing a tantrum because you didn’t nab your dream role — on the first try, with little experience — isn’t the way to go.

The bitter Brown eventually came to her senses and apologized on Tuesday. “I’m a young woman that can admit her wrongs. 4who was offended I apologize BUT understand me before you’re quick to judge though. ThankU.”

The film, which will be Bassett’s directorial debut, is set to premiere on Lifetime in 2015.
