Hip-hop’s most famous feud, between The Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac Shakur, is still talked about today. The friendship-turned-rivalry began in 1994 and quickly turned bitter. Shortly after, Shakur was shot in New York City. The two began taking jabs at each other in their song lyrics, starting what’s known as the “East Coast vs. West Coast” rivalry. The beef ultimately ended in gun violence: Shakur was shot and killed in 1996, and B.I.G. would be gunned down six months later.

2. Joan Rivers vs. 'The Tonight Show'
Former “Tonight Show” host Johnny Carson got angry after frequent guest host Joan Rivers got her own show in 1986. She made her grand first official appearance on the show on March 27, 2014. “The last time I was on the show, Melissa was in diapers,” said the 81-year-old comedienne. “Now, I’m in diapers.”

He reportedly squashed the feud in 2013 after sending her a note in a French restaurant which included an apology. “We were in a restaurant in France in the summertime,” he explained. “She came in, and I sent over a note. She was very gracious. I apologized profusely because what I said should never have appeared in public.”
