Sherri Shepherd can put one custody battle behind her.
The 47-year-old “View” co-host will maintain custody of her 9-year-old son, Jeffrey Jr., reports People.
Shepherd appeared in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday for a hearing to determine custody with her ex-husband, Jeffrey Tarpley.
Judge Michelle Williams said, “There has not been a material change in circumstances.”
In April, Tarpley filed a petition to gain custody of their son. He claims Jeffrey Jr. can barely write, reads at a second-grade level, can’t tie his shoes, and doesn’t know how to look after himself, reports Page Six.
He also claimed Shepherd leaves their son with “unskilled nannies” during her busy schedule.
Now, Shepherd must face a brewing custody battle with her estranged husband, Lamar Sally, over their unborn child.
