Columbus Short is coming clean.

It’s been revealed that the “Scandal” star, 32, confessed to sucker-punching man in a bar earlier this year, reports TMZ.

Last month, the actor claimed he was defending his estranged wife when he brutally punched a man in a West Los Angeles bar in March, leaving him bloodied and unconscious.

The website has now obtained text messages from the still-unnamed man that paint a different picture, in which the troubled actor seems to admit that the incident was his fault.

“I know im texting and incriminating myself but I have to own what I did wrong in that situation,” he wrote in the text.

“Im so sorry and completely disappointed in myself,” he continued. “Whether I go to jail or not that will be the worst punishment of all. Losing you guys.”

The admission isn’t the worst of the actor’s problems, or at least, not the most immediate. Last week, an arrest warrant was issued for the actor after he failed to appear in criminal court for his domestic violence case.

The warrant was issued a day after Short failed to show for another criminal case.

According to TMZ, the actor is currently in Barbados. Short’s publicist had no comment.
