Since splitting from Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin is getting deep.
“There’s a phrase, which was written by a singer Leonard Cohen, which is ‘The crack is where the light comes in.’ So, sometimes you have to go through something painful or breakage to see the beauty of things,” the 37-year-old singer told Elvis Duran on Z100 Thursday.
Could he be talking about his soon-to-be ex-wife?
With Martin and Paltrow’s impending divorce, it’s been a tough year for the singer. The “consciously uncoupled” pair is still insisting they are not together despite being spotted together on several occasions in the Hamptons over the summer.
“The thing that we told everyone at the beginning of the year is true,” Martin recently told Valentine in The Morning (via People). “We’re very close. We’re not together. That’s the truth.”
