Bennett Miller’s wrestling drama “Foxcatcher” starring Steve Carell missed this year’s Oscars when a December release was pushed back because Miller was still tinkering with it.

When the film finally debuted, Miller won best director at Cannes and it’s considered to be a lock for major awards consideration for 2015. Now Miller has merely to wait till a scheduled release Nov. 14.

In the meantime, he was cooling his heels at a Film Society of Lincoln Center and Jaeger-LeCoultre dinner to mark its “filmmaker in residence” program last week.
