Joy Behar takes shots at Christie during former governor’s roast

For such a thick man, Gov. Chris Christie sure has thin skin.

At last week’s roast of former New Jersey Gov. Brendan Byrne, funny lady Joy Behar followed tradition and roasted everyone on the dais at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, including roastmaster Christie.

Behar needled Joe Piscopo, who has a new morning radio show, saying, “I don’t want to say his audience is small, but more people have seen Gov. Christie eat a salad.”

She was just getting warmed up. “Today, Christie has his eye on the White House. It used to be the House of Pancakes.” Former Garden State governors Jim McGreevey, James Florio and Thomas Kean were laughing.

When Christie protested that this was supposed to be a roast of Byrne, not him, Behar screamed, “Stop bullying me!”
